I'm so glad you posted this. I've been so behind the times and have been meaning to post for days. Anyway, I love this book which is why I picked it! My favorite part is when she is bringing the milk in and trips and is covered in blood, milk, and broken glass and no one offers to help. For some reason I can so relate to that. Anyway, I was impressed with how well she held it all together and she truly was an inspiration to me. Thanks for reading along with me. Is there a book for August yet? I just started Breaking Dawn so we'll see how much time I have :)

I also want to add that I thought it was neat how she saved her "notebook" and so her daughter was able to use all of her entires to help us understand her mother. I thought she was one tough lady, even if she was a "classic 50's mom". And like any mom, she did what it took to get her family what they needed, sacrificing things for herself. You could tell that through the story, her kids loved and admired her.

Joanna - I posted the book for August a few weeks ago. It's the post right before your "All Moms Go To Heaven" post. ("And Only to Deceive" by Tasha Alexander)

I just saw that and realized that I must have missed it! Sorry! I can't believe how much of a blond brunette I am sometimes.
